Based on the autism treatment model co-developed by Laurie Vismara, PhD, early intervention agencies along with Aboriginal agencies will be taught evidence-based parent coaching intervention to deliver with families with young children who are at risk of, or diagnosed, with autism spectrum disorder.
The Early Emory Center for Child Development and Enrichment will be hosting an open house on Friday, December 8, from 9:00 - 11:00 am.  Learn more about the center's inclusive, toddler to pre-K enriched school program.

The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) and the Emory Autism Center (EAC), under the umbrella of the Georgia Autism Assessment Collaborative (GAAC), are providing specialized training to improve early screening and diagnosis for children with autism.
One in every 68 children in the United States has autism spectrum disorder (ASD), a neuro-developmental disorder that results in difficulty socializing and communicating needs and desires, and often is accompanied by restricted interests or activities. Research has shown that early intervention leads to better outcomes for children on the spectrum.
